With a team of professional and competent coaches, students can benefit from the FINS coaches’ extensive swimming experiences. At FINS Swim School, our coaches strive to bring out the best in students. We provide a comprehensive, safe and well-structured curriculum with the objective of cultivating continued development in your journey as a swimmer. At FINS, we motivate students to excel both mentally and physically through the sports.

FINS Head Coach
Emir Hamza Bin Ali

With over a decade of coaching and management experience. Head Coach Hamza started his career a PE lecturer with ITE College and moved on to Director of Sports in a secondary school.  He also had experiences with local Clubs as Senior Sports Executive and had the opportunity to manage hotels and school’s sporting facilities.  

From coaching swimming, to advocating lifesaving skills and promoting the sports for fitness, Head Coach Hamza developed his competencies in sports at an early age. His passion for swimming and sports continued throughout his career when he became a lifeguard and began to coach swimming while pursuing a Bachelor (Hons) in Sport Management.  

Head Coach Hamza strongly believes that swimming and water safety are important skills everyone should have. He hopes to share his passion for swimming approachable and relatable methods to both young and old.

In his free time, Head Coach Hamza enjoys a game of football. As a parent of young children, Head Coach Hamza understands the importance in child's learning journey and confidence in life.

Head Coach Hamza is fully certified and accredited under National Registry of Coaches (Swimming and Lifesaving), with other accolades like First Aid with CPR+AED; Australian Swimming Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety and; Singapore Lifesaving Society Teachers Certification, under his belt.


FINS Assistant Head Coach
Seow Jian Hao

With over 7 years of coaching experience across other swim schools and proficiencies, Jian Hao’s core expertise lies in competitive swim training and high-performance programmes.  He helped student-athletes excel in the sport. In 2019, he led a competitive team of swimmers to cities- Hangzhou (China) and Shizuoka (Japan) to participate in youth swimming meets held internationally. 

Assistant Head Coach Jian Hao promotes swimming rigorously for an active, healthy lifestyle. He believes in sharing his love for swimming to everyone and he feels accomplished nurturing students to enjoy the sport. He believes that cultivating swimming as a lifelong skill is important to achieve confidence in any circumstances, be it in life or in pool.

In his free time, Jian Hao also does wake surfing as part of his continued learning and passion for swimming.

Assistant Head Coach Jian Hao is fully certified and accredited under National Registry of Coaches (Swimming) as a Coach and also has First Aid Certification under his belt.
