[Arts@SAFRA] Guardian of Unity: Brick Warriors in the Armor of Peace
Workshop & Installation by Tay Swee Siong & Loy Teck Pui
"In this artistic masterpiece, three towering brick figures personify the robust might of our military forces—Land, Sea, and Air—standing as stalwart guardians of our nation's defence. The overarching theme revolves around the imperative of Military Defence, where a resilient Singapore Armed Forces serves as a formidable deterrent against aggression, ensuring the protection of our homeland. Woven into the very essence of the artwork are six smaller brick figures, each symbolizing the foundational pillars of Total Defence—Military, Civil, Economic, Social, Digital, and Psychological Defence. Through this evocative composition, the artwork articulates the profound significance of a comprehensive Total Defence capability, underscoring the shared responsibility of both the Singapore Armed Forces and the civilian populace in fortifying the resilience of our nation."

[Arts@SAFRA] Upcycled Craft - Magazines + Paper [Merlion Fan]
Workshops by Didier Ng
This workshop is aimed to celebrate Total Defence Day through creative expression and sustainable crafting. Participants are engaged in repurposing old magazines and paper to create unique Merlion-themed fans, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and national pride.
By combining creativity, environmental consciousness, and national pride, the Upcycled Craft Workshop successfully contributes to the commemoration of Total Defence Day, emphasizing the importance of unity, resilience, and sustainability in the community.
