Guided Walking Tour - Total Defence Guided Walk

Military, Civil, Economic, Social, Psychological and Digital Defence. Let's explore new ways to approach these principals and refresh our memory on why it is so crucial to our island home. This guided walking tour aims to explore the 6 pillars of defence within our city, and reinforce the ideas behind each pillar in a fun engaging way.
Learning Objectives
- Understanding Total Defence: Explore the multifaceted concept of Total Defence and recognize how each pillar contributes to Singapore’s overall security.
- Crisis Preparedness and Response: Learn how Singapore prepares for and responds to crises, including natural disasters and other emergencies.
- Citizen’s Role in National Security: Discover the pivotal role that every citizen plays in upholding Singapore’s security. Gain insights into what we can do as individuals to contribute to our nation’s defense.
Guided Walking Tour Route
Armenian Church > Hill Street Fire Station > Ministry of Communications and Information > Former Parliament House & Former City Hall > Padang & Marina Bay
This guided walking tour involves a moderate amount of walking, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

*Two-way transportation will be provided from and back to SAFRA Tampines.
Registration starts on 17 January 2025.
Terms & Conditions:
- 2-way transportation will be provided to and fro between SAFRA Toa Payoh and the tour meeting point.
- Each registration is for 1 pair of participants only.
- It is mandatory for all kids to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Pre-registration will be opened till the date of the Guided Walking Tour itself, registration will be closed earlier once the maximum capacity is reached.
- Registration will be on first come first serve basis. All payments are to be made prior to participating in the activity.
- Complete the entire transaction to checkout with cart payment to ensure a successful registration. Your registration is not successful if you did not receive a receipt via email.
