Storytelling for Life and Work Research has shown that storytelling is an important communication skill for leadership at all levels to convey intent, focus and lessons learned. At home, storytelling is an effective parenting tool for inculcating values and character development in children as young as two years old. At work, storytelling is an effective way to harness organisational learning, energize employee engagement and convey strategic focus. Yet, for many of us, storytelling does not seem to come naturally. This talk will introduce practical ways to help us harvest lessons learned from our own stories and tell better stories at home. |
