Start of Swim Wave

» Each swim wave will commence with an air horn.
» Each swim wave lasts for 2 hours. This includes 10 minutes for participants to enter and exit the pool.
» The distance from one end of the pool to the other lengthwise is 50 metres and would be considered as 1 lap.
» • Participants are to queue and only enter the pool via the starting point.
» Participants are to exit at the start or end of each lap unless there is an emergency. Participants should not stop and exit halfway through a lap.

During the Swim Wave

» For participants’ safety, participants are not allowed to rest in the pool for more than 1 minute to prevent congestion.
» Participants are required take a rubber band for each lap swam.
» Participants are not allowed to u-turn abruptly under the lane ropes or onto the same lane.
» Participants are strongly encouraged not to accumulate more than 20 rubber bands at any point in time. For participants feel that they are holding onto too many rubber bands, please exit and deposit them at the Tabulation Area.
» Please do not crowd the tabulation area and queue in an orderly fashion.
» All participants are to swim to the left side of their lanes. To overtake, please swim on the right side of the lane.

Nearing the End of Swim Wave

» A 10 minutes warning announcement will be made 10 minutes before the end of each 2 hour Swim Wave. Please kindly finish your lap and exit at either the start or the end of the lap.
» An air horn will be sounded at the end of each swim wave.

» Affected participants are to change and receive their medals upon exit.
