Open House at SAFRA Mount Faber

Open House at SAFRA Mount Faber

This past weekend, we at SAFRA celebrate the Building Bonds Project with an 'open house' at the Mount Faber clubhouse. It is to help raise funds for needy National Service men and their families. The project aims to piece together a mural of Lego bricks which will then be gifts for underprivileged children. Donations are still welcomed until 3 Jan 2014 and in the spirit of giving, balloons were distributed to our happy young guests during the event itself.

The main attraction of the event was the Bricks World LEGO exhibition in the lobby. There was a variety of toys to choose for purchase as well. Visitors could also build their own Legos on the tables provided. Nearer towards the reception were the LEGO showcases around which guests stood to admire the display throughout the day.

There were so many fun activities for both visiting adults and children including arts and crafts and potted plant decorating. These booths were fully occupied with enthusiastic kids as they tried their hand at the activities. Their parents keep a watchful eye over them and some also joined in. One even helped her daughter to put a mealworm inside the glass display case.

The hot and humid weather was perfect for water activities. In the swimming pool area, there was a bouncy castle built especially for the kids. Adding on to the fun atmoshere was the live band who treated guests to covers of top radio hits like "Titanium" by David Guetta featuring Sia. It certainly made it a nice and feel-good weekend afternoon.

The open house event succesfully brought families together for a relaxing weekend. If you had missed it, don't fret! You can still contribute to the project with donations and help someone in need.
